Our company will be based solely on services for patients that travel to Costa Rica in search of affordable, high quality medical treatment options outside the United States. Costa Rica has become a very good option for medical treatment due to the fact that it has very high quality professionals in the healthcare area and has facilities that are ready to receive patients and treat them with the latest procedures and with very high quality standards. Our partner, MedRetreat, has formed an affiliation with us to provide a responsible, cost effective and professional representative in Costa Rica, who will arrange several aspects of their patients medical treatment as well as non-medical related services. In the past, most of the services were informal and did not take into account any standards, patients were merely put on a plane, sent down to Costa Rica and then they were on their own.
 
We are here to offer much more than that. We will develop packages for our clients which will suit their needs, as well as providing them with the security, assurance and warmth that they need in order to make their experience as comfortable and fulfilling as it can be, as if they were back home. We realized that traveling to an unknown place, and having surgery performed on you by an “Unknown” physician at an “Unknown” hospital must be a terrifying experience, and we will strive to make that as enjoyable as it can be.
 
Costa Rica is a beautiful country which is only 2 ½ hours away from some U.S. cities and with that in mind provides a much better option than traveling to Asia or India (Which is where most medical procedures are performed) which takes flights of over 10 hours to reach. Costa Rica will give a much needed sense of closeness to home and since travel time is much less, will provide a much more viable option. We believe that patients who have recently undergone surgical procedures shouldn’t fly 10 hours to get home; flying can be uncomfortable as well as debilitating in such conditions.

Services will be tailored to the needs of our clients

Our services will include but are not limited to:

• Transportation: Arrangement for private patient transportation to and from the Airport, Hotel, Medical Consultations, Hospital procedures. Any other locations which are visited by the patient including tours to different attractions in Costa Rica would come at an added expense. Our transportation services will be performed in vehicles which will be conscious of the patient’s state of health, as well as being units that have an insurance policy which cover our patients as well as being late model vehicles.
   
• Nursing: Specially recommended for those patients who will undergo specialized surgery (orthopedics, cardiovascular, neurosurgery, by-pass surgery and others). Upon request patients could have a nurse which is hired and paid for by Ares International Services who will monitor the pre-op and post-op periods, this is very important due to the fact that we seek to ensure the well-being of our patients, this will also eliminate problems with any language barriers that should arise during their stay. This requires a lot of cooperation from the hospital and the practicing physicians.(Optional)
   
• Physical Therapy: Ares International Services will have the option of utilizing a certified physical therapist for patients who choose that service. This is specifically important and useful for patients that are traveling to Costa Rica for neurological and orthopedic procedures, but it isn’t limited to those two specialties.(Optional)
   
• Company Representative: Patients will be accompanied by a bilingual person through all of their appointments and/or checkups in order to eliminate any language barriers that should arise during those stages, as well as during hotel check-in, check-out and arrival/departure from the airport in order to assist them.

The pricing for the services that are offered by our company will vary from patient to patient and will be determined on a per-case basis.

Following is a brief list of core services every cleint will receive:

• Meet and greet arriving customer at the airport
• Private transportation to the hotel
• Pre-arrange hotel check-in
• Private transportation to-and-from doctor consultation
• Private transportation to-and-from medical procedure
• Interpretation assistance at hospital or clinic if needed
• Provide communication assistance, such as cell phone or 24 hour contact number
• Check on recuperating patient daily once procedure is performed
• Provide emotional support if necessary during visit
• Assist with local tour and excursion arrangements
• Provide information about local dining, shopping, and pampering facilities
• Provide information about local culture and customs of destination
• Assure that customer is comfortable and content at all times
• Deliver customer to airport for departure
• Assist customer with baggage check-in upon departure
• Arrange for Airport medical assistance upon departure if necessary
