If you are bringing a laptop computer with you on your medical tourism journey, Skype is a little piece of software that lets you make free calls to anyone else on Skype, anywhere in the world. And even though the calls are free, they are really excellent quality. If you and your friends, family or business contacts are using web cams, you can also make free video calls. You can even call landlines and mobile phones at really cheap per minute rates.

You can call anyone else on Skype, anywhere in the world for free. It's a great service that meets the budget of everyone, espcially those involved in medical travel. We use this service all the time to contact our overseas affiliates. It works out quite well and keeps the costs down -- which ultimately benefits you, the health tourism recipient, in the long run.
If you are going to use this service, make sure your family and friends install this software on their computers as well.
Please note: You will need computer speakers and a microphone to use the telephone service (not necessary if you just want to chat though.) Most computers are sold with either a built-in speaker, or, are provided with plug-in speakers. However, microphones are normally not included. Please visit your local computer store such as Best Buy, Comp USA, Circuit City or Radio Shack to purchase your microphone. You can generally pick one up for about USD $15.00 or so. Also, there are many online stores from which to choose.
